Various individual data can be processed on different platforms every day. Although the processing of these data provides some advantages, there is always a risk of exploitation. Therefore, in order to protect personal data the implementation of a legal infrastructure becomes obligatory. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the protection of personal data entered into force in Europe on 24 May 2016 and applies since 25 May 2018. The law regarding the protection of personal data (KVKK) is implemented on 07 April 2016 in Turkey and became effective by 07 April 2018. The law aims to discipline the collection of personal data by prohibiting the random collection, unauthorized access, disclosure or unintended use.
